The Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show is the ultimate haven for anyone with a passion for bringing classic cars back to life. With over 1,300 stunning classics on display, 160+ car clubs showcasing rare and cherished models, live restoration projects in action, and expert talks from industry professionals, this is the place to be. Whether you're tackling a full restoration or just keeping your pride and joy on the road, you’ll find expert advice, specialist tools, and inspiration at every turn.

Experience the magic of over 108 live restorations in action! From engine swaps to interior overhauls, enthusiasts can watch the incredible transformation of classic cars in real-time. This year’s live restoration feature showcases everything from a nut-and-bolt rebuild to fine-tuned mechanical work, bringing classics back to their former glory. Among the projects in progress are a 1978 Reliant Scimitar and a 1989 Lancia Delta, with skilled enthusiasts and clubs demonstrating expert techniques throughout the weekend. Whether it's bodywork, wiring, or full mechanical restorations, this is restoration at its finest!

Where else could you see this many incredible barn finds gathered in one place? The much-loved Footman James Barn Find display competition is back and this year, it’s larger than ever, packed with fascinating discoveries and untold stories. Among the stunning finds are a 1960 Aston Martin DB4, a Skoda with just 10 miles on the clock, and a 1933 SS Jaguar II—each with a unique past. From the 1954 Austin A40 to the 1974 Ford Escort Mk1, every vehicle has a tale to tell. Which one is your favourite? Cast your vote at the show.

The Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership competition brings together some of the most remarkable restored classics—each with a unique story. From Alexandra Phillips’ signed Austin Allegro to Nikki Dino’s rally-ready Mercedes 280 SL, these vehicles represent passion, dedication, and meticulous craftsmanship. Among the standout finalists are Stuart Whittaker’s 1973 Ford Capri 3.0 GXL, Nicola Robynson’s 1999 Toyota Celica GT Convertible, and Simon Wilkinson’s 1961 Goggomobil T700 Royal. Visitors can meet the proud owners, hear about their journeys, and admire the incredible restorations up close.

Practical Classics World: Where Restoration Comes to Life…

At the heart of the show, Practical Classics World brings hands-on restoration, expert talks, and incredible classic car stories to the NEC.

Practical Classics Workshop – A Fiat Spider 124, gifted by an RAF veteran, is undergoing a live transformation. How much can the team restore in one weekend? Attendees can witness the process and meet the crew behind the build.

On the Your Shout Stage, legendary restorers Ant Anstead, Dominic Chinea, Paul Cowland, and Darren Collins share their expertise. Fans of Wheeler Dealers, The Repair Shop, and Salvage Hunters can hear behind-the-scenes stories and get their questions answered.

The Restorer of the Year competition returns, with Bob Meldrum taking home the "Golden Theo" for his stunning Vauxhall Viva HB Estate revival. Nominated by Practical Classics readers, his project stood out among impressive finalists. Visitors can see Bob’s award-winning Viva HB Estate up close at the show and hear more about his meticulous rebuild.

Finally, Staff Car Sagas comes to life at the show, showcasing the Practical Classics team’s own project cars—the same vehicles featured in their monthly updates. Visitors can see them up close and chat with the team about the challenges and triumphs of their restoration journeys.
